Since Middle School, I’ve had the heart of an entrepreneur. I was always burning CDs and selling them in the hallways between classes, reselling stuff on eBay, detailing cars, and DJing Sixteenth birthday parties.

At Michigan State University I founded a social music startup called “The Song Market'' where I recruited a technical team and received a small amount of seed funding from Spartan Innovations and Start Garden. Although the company generated initial traction, it was ultimately shut down a few years later. Through this experience, I learned how tremendously difficult it is to start a company from scratch.

On the other side of the spectrum, I also have the heart of a disciplined, risk-averse investor. Since graduating from MSU in 2014, I have grown our net worth by diligent budgeting, aggressive saving, and consistent investing in quality real estate and index mutual funds.

When you combine the traits of an entrepreneur with a diligent investor, you get an acquisition entrepreneur. For years I had a nagging feeling that I was searching for “the right thing”. The idea of a long career in corporate America sent shivers down my spine, yet another startup seemed like a ridiculous long shot. In January 2022, I stumbled across the previously unknown and unexplored third door of buying existing businesses. I recognized immediately that this was the path I had been searching for.

Now I work with my wife Katie to Buy, Systematize, and grow B2B product businesses. I love the intellectual challenge and oftentimes brutal transparency that comes with owning and operating a small business. For me, finding a business, recognizing its untapped potential, and then executing on that vision is the most fun thing in the world.

Outside of work, I love spending time on the lake with my wife Katie, and dog “Clifford”. I am obsessed with all things related to outer space. I really enjoy heavy music, exercise, reading, playing pickleball, and experiencing interesting food in interesting places.
